The goal of the project is to enable the OVC complete primary education successfully. This is part and parcel of the program conducted in selected schools all over Ethiopia. It is a project financed by USAID and is conducted in   Ø   Wukro (three schools), Ø   Adigrat (six schools) and Ø   Mekele (eleven schools).   The assistance is for three years and gives six different types of support.   1.    Educational support (school uniforms, exercise books, pens , pencils, eraser and ruler including tutorial program for the needy ones 2.    Psychosocial support 3.    Medical care (3,700 Birr will be given to each school annually for emergency cases) 4.    Shelter and care 5.    Food and nutrition (supplementary food will be provided to the very needy ones) and each school will get 8,000 Birr annually for income generating activities 6.    Legal support   The project has so far created linkage among the following stakeholders to accomplish its tasks effectively.   §    The school §    The community §    Health institutions §    Legal institutions §    Idir §    Voluntary Associations §    Private sector §    Local administration §    Religious institutions, etc with every school.
