Physical accomplishment of construction projects
 
At present, the major part of the construction work is associated with Telethon. The status of the Telethon will be displayed soon. This report, which was compiled on the last week of May 2009, comprises accomplishments of projects financed by donors and TDA Chapters only.

1.1 Sesela
(Ofla Wereda)
 
97% of the construction of the academic block is completed. The wereda is now bidding to procure the furniture.
 
 
1.2 Workamba (Kola Temben)
The academic block is constructed and furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
1.3. Neksege          (Endamekhoni)
Construction of the academic block is completed and it is furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
1.4 Daero Hafash
(Adet Naeder)
60% of the delivery ward is completed and the furniture is already at the site. The construction work is going on.
 
 
1.5 Meswaeti (Endamekhoni)
The emergency ward is constructed and furnished. It has already started giving service to the community.
 
 
1.6 Endalgeda
(Erob)
100%% of the construction of the emergency ward is completed. The furniture is already at the site and it has become functional.

MSDF 2008 Projects
2.1 Hagereselam
(Degua Temben)
 
Construction of the academic block is completed and it is furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
2.2 Dewhan

The academic block is constructed and furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
2.3 Enticho
(Ahferom)
Construction of the academic block is completed and it is furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.

AGOH & MSDF 2009 Projects
 
(Maida Samre in S/Samre & Maigobo and Fire Semaetat in Hawzen)
 
 
 
 
The three primary schools financed by A Glimmer of Hope and MSDF are ready for top tie beam

Austin Tennis Academy (ATA) project
 
(Shimana and Wuhdet in Tahtai Maichew Wereda)
 
 
The academic blocks, the dry latrines and hand dug well water supply are completed. The furniture work is on process.
The wereda and the community are constructing admin blocks in Wuhdet and Shimana as matching fund.

TDA Chapters’ Projects
 
5.1. Adi Tigrai (S/Samre) by Chicago
 
 
Top tie beam of the academic block is completed and hardcore is laid down. The administration block is a little bit above the lower beam. They are now constructing the roof. The excavation work of the toilet room is completed.
 
The wereda has been negotiating with the contractors. More than half of the Chicago fund is not sent
 
5.2 Monos (Enderta) by San Diego
Administration block of the primary school is on grade beam. Classroom and dry latrine are completed. Students are using the classrooms.
 
 
5.3 Sergen (Enderta) by Negelle Borena
Administration and classroom blocks of the primary school are completed. Students are learning in the new classrooms. Dry latrine work is not yet started.
 
 
5.4 Mahberesellassie (Degua Temben) by Los Angeles
Grade beam of the primary school completed. The contractors are producing element and other materials necessary for the construction.
This project had stuck for some time. The contractors faced greater loss
 
5.5 Dela (Emba Alaje) by Italy
The construction of the academic block is completed except glazing. It is not yet furnished.
 
 
5.6 Chirasege (Asgedetsimbla) by Bay Area
100% of the construction of the primary school is completed. The furniture work is expected to be completed after a month. The students are using the classrooms
 
 
5.7 Dembetsaba (Naeder Adiet) by Washington DC
100% of the construction of the primary school is completed. They are now going to start bidding for the furniture.
 
 
5.8 Gichew (Tsegedie) by N York
They are constructing the roof. We hope it will be ready for the new academic year
The wereda and the community promised to start admitting students in September
 
5.9 Fasil (Tsegedie) by North Gondar
They have completed the foundation work
 
 
5.10 Maigaba (Wolkait) by Switzerland
Academic block of the primary school is completed and furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
5.11 Guagua Chewalko (Wolkait) by Sudan
Academic block of the primary school is completed and furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
5.12 Adihrdi (Kafta Humera) by Adama, Oromia
They are trying to get more funds to construct a big building.
 
 
5.13 Dinka Ashena (Ofla) by North Carolina
The construction of the primary school is completed. It will accept students in September.
 
 
5.14 Sekota Mariam (Tselemti) by Atlanta
The construction of the primary school is completed and it is furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
 
5.15 Dima (Tselemti) by Boston
The construction of the primary school is completed and it is furnished. Students are attending their classes in the new classrooms.
 
6
Projects of Corporate Members
 
These are organizations registered as members of TDA, which contribute significant amount of money every year
 
 
 
Seven libraries financed by Corporate Members of TDA are now under construction in Sesela (Ofla), Wejerat (H/Wejerat), Gijjet (S/Samre), Maiknetal (Werei Lekhe), Negash (K/Awlaelo), Mahbere Dego (Laelai Maichew) and in Kaleb (Axum).
The communities have completed the foundation work as matching fund and the contractors have started building from the lower beam.
