The Tigray Development Symposium (TDS-2009) is fundamental to the long-term future of both the Tigray Regional State in particular, and the country at large. The TDS-2009 provides a forum designed to blend past and current development achievements, challenges and future development perspectives of the Tigray Regional State. Addressing the economic development of Ethiopia in view of the PASDEP, the SDPRP strategies and MDG’s, the forum determines Where We Are as a Regional State? and Where We Are Going?
In August 28 and 29 2009, TDA in cooperation with Mekelle University and other stakeholders will hold a two-day symposium at
Mekelle that will address multidisciplinary issues across major areas of economic, infrastructural and social development sectors.
Delegates from the Government of Regional State of Tigrai and TDA will attend the festivals to be held in Europe and North America.
The organizing committee invites all interested individuals to send their papers to the symposium.TDA will document and publish the papers for public consumption.
