Tigrai Development Assocation Dubai Branch Lays Corner Stone for the Construction of Primary School

The corner stone was laid down in North Western zone of Tigrai, Tahtay Adiabo Wereda Ademiti village and kokob locality, for the construction of a primary school in the name of Martyr Jaefer during the ceremony held on 5 June 2009(29 Gunbet 2001 E.C).

The school is one of the projects pledged by TDA Dubai branch during the Millennium TDA Telethon under the theme of “from das to class”.
 
Representatives of TDA Dubai, Abdu Wehabrebi, TDA board member Ato Yasin Raju and cheif wereda administrator Ato Abrhaley Abera together laid the corner stone down.

 Great number of residents of Ademit village, students, parents, teachers and administrative officials attended the ceremony and expressed their happiness in different songs, poems and parade.

Chief wereda administrator Ato Abrehaley Abera on the occasion said that education is the key to alleviate poverty and backwardness and the government is working hard in this area.

He also said that TDA considering the importance of human resource is existing its relentless effort in ensuring quality of education.

 Ato Abdu Wehabrebi was quoted as saying that he was extremely happy to lay a corner stone to change makeshift school to modern school. He also said that we should ensure the sacrifices of our elders in development. Ato Abdu finally noted that they will work hard to expand the school to high school level.

     Ato Yasin Raju, TDA board member on the occassion said that TDA Dubai branch is a recently established active branch which gave quiet response to the call by millennium TDA telethon from “das to class” and happened to construct a primary school in Tahitay Adiabo wereda, He further thanked in the name of the people and TDA. Ato Osman Abdu wehabrebi, TDA Dubai branch chairperson and businessmen, for his long term plan to expand the school to high school  and above.

 
W/rt Azmera G/yesus, one of the active members in Abudabi, attended the ceremony and expressed her happiness and said that they will work hard for the successful completion of the school.
 
Administration and people of Ademiti village presented framed photo of the late brave major general Hayelom Araya as a remembrance.
