The medical equipment were provided to Mekelle Hospital during the hand-over ceremony held on 29 April 2009 (Mizaia 21 2001 E.C) in the TDA store compound.
General Manager of the hospital Ato Bizuayeneh Hadush received the donation.
TDA German branch is very active branch and has been soliciting and sending different medical equipments to Tigrai.
The equipment donated to Mekelle Hospital are 40 modern adult beds with mattress and pillows 20 children beds with 10 mattress and pillows, and 31 chairs.
The types of equipments recently sent by TDA German branch are comprised of 125 modern hospital beds, with 140 mattress and pillows, 58 bed side tables, 31 chairs and 2000 patients dresses and are estimated over 2 million birr.
The remaining equipments will be handed-over to Axum hospital shortly.
