TDA Donates computers worth around half million birr.

           

TDA donated a total of 145 computers to some six high schools in Tigray which worth around half million birr.

            The high schools which are beneficiaries of the grant include those in Hawzen, Tselemti, Welkait, Mereblekhe, Seharti Samre and Alamata weredas. The schools have got 25 computers each except Alamata, which received 20 computers.

 

The total cost of computers which is worth of 48,000 USD (456,000 ETB) is obtained from members and supporters of TDA residing in Riyadh.

 

  During the handing-over occasion,Welday Kidanu, vice executive director of TDA, expressed his appreciation to the Riyadh community for their strong commitments in achieving the MFP (Millennium Fundraising Plan) of TDA. 

   At the occasion , Ato Kiros Abraha, chief of Education Bureau of Tigray, delivered his thanks giving speech on behalf of those who received the grant .He said ,”We all of us thanks the Riyadh community for their strong commitment to upgrade the schools facilities’’. He also urged other supporters to contribute their level best to address the critical problems of the students in the region.

 

   Since TDA’s inception, the Middle East Chapter has long been actively involved in campaigns launched to wards enhancing the quality of education in Tigray.
