The school was previously miserable makeshift school providing poor and below standard services to over 170 children of Adibo Golja village.
Major Inspector Gezahagne G/Hiwot, vice director of Swift Force and Human Resource Indoctrination Directorate representing the crime prevention department and Ato Tsehaye Fekadu representing TDA, together cut the ribbon and inaugurated the school.
Major Inspector Gezahagn G/Hiwot on the occasion expressed his happiness and pride in his name and in the name of all members and leadership of the Federal Police Crime Prevention Department, for being with the brave and exemplary people.
He also said that members of crime prevention department of the Federal Police, besides crime prevention they are showing their Kin to the community in supporting in the development endeavors of the people. He added that members are comprised of all nations, nationalities and peoples, and all have decided to deduct and contribute from their monthly salary to the construction of the school. One of the development contributions is reflected in that they welcomed the call by TDA Telethon and they happened to construct the school and they made it real.
He further noted that the school is inaugurated immediately the day after 20 Yekatit (Yekatite 11) and it made it very historic.
He finally expressed his appeal to the school children to enrich their knowledge and make new history.
Ato Haftu Kiros, vice wereda administrator on the ceremony thanked and applauded members of crime prevention of Federal Police for their contribution besides protecting the peace of the people, they are working hand-in-glove with the government and the people to alleviate poverty and backwardness in the country. He also expressed his hope and belief that they will be with them in the future.
TDA International Headquarter representative, Ato Tsehaye Fekadu on the occasion said that TDA, by mobilization its members and the entire public, has been contributing its role in the development of Tigrai. He also called on all to be TDA members in order to play its role in a much better way in the development of Tigrai. He finally thanked all members of Crime Prevention department of the Federal Police.
The Adibo Golja school is constructed with the cost of over 750,000.00 (Seven hundred fifty thousand birr) and consisted of two big blocks, and dry latrines for both male and female students.
