In a bid to bolster the support of the private sector in the development efforts of TDA, 23 entrepreneurs have become new Corporate Members who pledged  to contribute  birr 68,400 every year in an event held on December 19,2009 by the western branch of TDA of the Addis Ababa city Administration.

Present on the occasion were TDA board representatives,Ambassador Tewolde Gebru, executive director of TDA, people from the media and, other invited guests. On the occasion, Ambassador Tewolde Gebru made a keynote speech amplifying the robust contribution so far made by the private sector, and the event is just a continuation of that. He also noted that, from the fundraised by the recent telethon fundraising event, out of 800 makeshift schools, close to 400 are  under conversion to building class rooms and the achievement is beyond one can imagine. He finally praised the commitment made by the members of the private sector and urged others to follow suit.
