TDA–CSPP Project Distributes Capacity Building Training Manuals to Different Stakeholders

A project by the name CSPP-Community School Partnership Program funded by the USAID and Save The Children-US has distributed 1120 training manuals to 150 project schools in 16 weredas of four zones of Tigrai namely Southern, Eastern, Central and North Western.

The objectives of the manuals are to help ensure quality and equity of education, and to help distribute health education to the project schools.

The manuals are prepared to be used by and help build the capacity of School Development Coordinators (SDC), education officers, health professionals, school directors, health extension workers, teachers, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) members, kebele education and training board (KETB) members, community representatives, members of GEAC’s and others.

The manuals are believed to be very helpful to build the capacity of the respective bodies. The total cost of the manuals is over 100,000 (one hundred thousand) birr.

CSPP project is working hard putting primary goal of improving the health education and health outcomes and specific goals of enhancing quality and equity of primary education, improving coordination of education and primary health care and increasing use of key health services and products.
Since its commencement, the project is accomplishing different activities and achieving successful results.
USAID/CSPP is a three years project funded by the USAID with a total project cost of 935,963 USD, started in Tigrai region in March 2008.
